ABOUT
STA

Starburst Theatre Academy (STA) is a musical theatre academy currently running it's own musical theatre venue at Starburst Studios in Yateley. STA is launched off the back of our award-winning theatre company. Starburst stages pantomime and musicals and has done since 1991. We now produce the Fleet Panto, showing to an audience of approximately 6000 patrons across 34 performances. The multi-award-winning company is committed and dedicated to perfecting the art of true stage performance. This is what we do well; we are told every year by cast, family, customers and friends alike.

We aim to bottle our success and feed this to our students to develop and enhance their own abilities. We will develop local children in the art and performance of Musical Theatre skills via the medium of Dance, Singing and Acting over three terms of structured and well-thought-out lessons, teaching core concepts and techniques. The year will culminate in an end-of-year performance to family and friends.

The Musical Theatre Academy will reach out to various children Including disadvantaged children from difficult backgrounds who would not normally undertake the arts due to domestic circumstances. To offer a platform that can remove a child from a difficult reality and allow escape to a world of fun and creative autonomy. We pride ourselves on the family we create around our members, looking to develop transferable life skills and foster an attitude of can do.

Adult classes are designed to be fun and tailored for busy lives, no membership, no commitment, just turn up pay and dance. No exams, no pressure but excellent teaching in technique, style, approach, and approach.
