6-8 YRS / 9-12 YRS / 13-17 YRS

10-1pm every Saturday

Our Musical Theatre Saturday School is built around a three hour system. The students move between singing, dancing and acting, all of which are taught by our specialised teachers.

SINGING

Learning about vocal placement, how the voice makes a sound, how to integrate performances into song and how to read sheet music.

DANCING

Understanding and enhancing technique, building the foundations for strengthening exercises, encouraging the mastery of performance skills and shape artistry.

ACTING

Working with and understanding playtexts, responding to various stumuli, devising original work, developing skills in emotional recall, exploring theatre practitioners and playing drama games.

Within each class, technical accuracy, performance and skill will be encouraged, striving towards a professional level of musical theatre.

 

Our classes are separated by age to ensure personal growth happens organically, and to instil confidence in our performers alongside their peers.

Most importantly, Starburst Theatre Academy aims for children to come and enjoy themselves and succeed in something that they are passionate about. Musical theatre is about having fun, and if you walk through the doors of STA with a smile on your face, our work is halfway done!
